Andrew focuses his practice on bankruptcy, tax negotiation with the IRS and state departments of revenue, estate planning (wills and trusts), family law (divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, division of assets and debts, and modifications), and criminal law. Prior to opening his law office in Bend, Andrew clerked for the Honorable John C. Coughenour, Chief Judge of the United States District Court, Western District of Washington and for the Honorable Charles Mertel in King County Superior Court in Seattle. Following his clerkship with Judge Mertel, he practiced at the boutique law firm Ellis Li & McKinstry in Seattle for two years. He has extensive experience in and out of the courtroom. He has negotiated favorable settlements for his clients and won numerous trials. Andrew moved back to Bend in 2008 to work for a tax firm where he represented businesses and individuals in tax negotiations with the IRS. He knows all the options available for a tax-troubled client including installment agreements, offers in compromise, and penalty and interest abatements. He also has extensive experience in Bankruptcy (Chapters 7, 11, and 13).
